Premium walk-in robe or study fit-out$8,000$20,000

What affects the price

Linear metres of cabinetry. The run length is the base of every joinery quote.
Finish level. Melamine and laminate are cheapest; timber veneer and two-pac paint cost significantly more.
Internal fit-out. Drawers cost more than shelves, and soft-close hardware, lighting and glass add up.
Site conditions. Out-of-square walls, skirting scribes and stair access add install time.
Design complexity. Curved elements, floor-to-ceiling units and integrated appliances push work into the premium band.

Tips before you post

Drawers are the biggest hidden cost — a bank of drawers can cost triple the same width of shelves.
Ask to see the actual board and finish samples before signing; names like 'oak-look' vary wildly.
A detailed drawing with dimensions signed by both sides prevents most joinery disputes.
