Aluminium balcony run$900$2,200
Semi-frameless glass$3,200$6,000
Frameless glass, full perimeter$7,500$14,000

What affects the price

Material. Aluminium is the cheapest per metre, semi-frameless glass mid-range, frameless glass the dearest.
Stairs & raked sections. Angled panels and stair runs need custom cutting and add noticeably to labour.
Fixing surface. Core-drilling into concrete or fixing through tiles and waterproofing is slower than bolting to timber.
Compliance height & wind rating. Barriers over a 1 m fall must meet BCA rules, and exposed or coastal sites may need thicker glass.
Handrail & hardware finish. Polished stainless or timber handrails and premium spigots add to the per-metre rate.

Tips before you post

Any balustrade protecting a fall of 1 metre or more has strict height and gap requirements — confirm your installer certifies compliance.
Semi-frameless glass gives most of the frameless look for meaningfully less money.
Ask whether the quote includes engineering or certification for glass panels — some quotes leave it out.
