How much does it cost to post a job?

Nothing. Posting a job, comparing quotes and choosing a tradie are all free for homeowners. The one optional extra is paying your tradie through the app — that charge includes a small share of the card processing fee (about 0.9%), and the exact total is shown before you confirm. Pay the tradie directly instead and QuickQuote costs you nothing at all.

How are tradies verified or vetted?

Every ABN is automatically cross-checked against the national ABN Lookup register, and trade licences are checked against official state registers where they're available. Tradies can also verify their identity with a government ID for an “ID verified” badge. Insurance is different — the certificate is uploaded and shown on the profile, but it is self-declared, not verified. We link straight to the relevant government register on every profile so you can check anything yourself.

Do I have to choose a tradie?

No. Comparing quotes never obligates you to hire anyone.

What if I do not like any of the quotes?

That is fine. You can wait for another quote or post again with more detail — there is never any pressure to accept.

How long does it take to get quotes?

It depends on how many tradies cover your trade and area — we're a young platform and still growing that coverage suburb by suburb. Your job stays open with no expiry, and we'll email you the moment someone quotes.

Are the tradies insured or licensed?

Trade licences are checked against official state registers where they're available, and a verified licence shows a badge on the profile. Insurance is shown as “on file” rather than verified — the tradie uploads their certificate of currency and declares the cover amount, but there's no public register to check it against. For a big job it's always worth asking to see the current certificate yourself.

Yes. You can ask questions and compare tradies before deciding who to go with.

Is there any catch or hidden fee later?

Accepted Answer

No. There's no commission, no booking fee and no charge for being introduced to a tradie. The only money QuickQuote is ever part of is the optional in-app payment, where the card processing fee is split with the tradie and shown in full before you confirm.
