Stainless steel balustrade$1,800$4,500
Glass balustrade$5,000$11,000

What affects the price

Material. Timber is cheapest per metre; stainless steel mid-range; frameless glass the most expensive.
Length & layout. Total metres drive the price, and corners, stairs and raked sections add fabrication time.
Fixing surface. Bolting to timber is simple; core-drilling concrete or fixing through tiles takes longer.
Compliance requirements. Rails guarding falls of 1 metre or more must meet code heights, gaps and load ratings.
Custom fabrication. Curved rails, custom powder-coat colours and non-standard glass panels are made to order.

Tips before you post

Any deck or balcony edge a metre or more above ground legally needs a compliant balustrade — not just a decorative rail.
Stainless wire balustrade needs periodic re-tensioning; tube or glass is lower maintenance.
Ask for the glass thickness and certification in writing on glass balustrade quotes.
