What affects the price

Fabric choice. Fabric is the biggest cost, ranging from $20 to well over $150 per metre, and full-length curtains use a lot of it.
Window size & drop. Wide sliders and floor-to-ceiling drops need more fabric and larger tracks.
Lining & layers. Blockout or thermal lining, and sheer-plus-blockout double tracks, add materials and making time.
Track & hardware. Basic rods are cheap; quality tracks, pelmets and motorisation add hundreds per window.
Heading style. Fuller heading styles like S-fold use up to double the fabric width of a simple pencil pleat.

Tips before you post

Ask for the fabric width multiplier in the quote — fullness is where curtain prices quietly grow.
Blockout lining is worth it in bedrooms for both darkness and insulation.
Measure-and-quote visits are usually free, so compare at least two makers on the same fabric grade.
