What affects the price

Wall area & rooms. The core driver — total m² of surface to be painted.
Wall condition & prep. Cracks, holes and flaking paint need filling, sanding and priming first.
Ceilings, doors & trim. Adding ceilings and detailed trim work meaningfully increases labour.
Ceiling height & access. High or stairwell walls need scaffolding or trestles and slow the job down.
Paint quality & colour changes. Premium paint and dark-to-light colour changes can add an extra coat.

Tips before you post

Bathrooms and kitchens benefit from mould-resistant paint — worth the small premium.
Ask whether the quote includes prep and the number of coats — that's where quotes differ most.
Painting walls, ceilings and trim in one visit is usually cheaper than doing them separately.
