Real-world examples

Design consultation$200$600
Concept plan$900$3,000
Full design documentation$3,000$8,000

What affects the price

Garden size. Larger blocks take more survey, design and documentation time.
Level of documentation. A concept sketch costs far less than construction-ready drawings and schedules.
Site complexity. Slopes, drainage problems, retaining and established trees all add design work.
Structures and services. Pergolas, pools, lighting and irrigation need extra detail and sometimes other consultants.
Revisions. Most fees include one or two revision rounds — extra changes are charged hourly.

Tips before you post

Share your realistic build budget up front so the design is actually buildable for it.
Ask to see completed gardens, not just drawings — the built result is the real portfolio.
A staged planting plan lets you build the garden over a few seasons without redesigning.
