What affects the price
— Tree size. Height and trunk diameter drive crew size, equipment and hours more than anything else.
— Access & position. Trees over houses, pools, fences or in tight rear yards must be lowered in pieces rather than felled.
— Powerlines & hazards. Work near powerlines needs specially authorised crews and adds significant cost.
— Stump grinding. Grinding the stump out is usually quoted separately, often $150–$500 per stump.
— Waste removal. Chipping and carting away branches and trunk timber adds labour and tip fees — keeping the mulch can save money.
