Standard bathroom$500$1,200
Balcony waterproofing$1,500$4,500
Remedial leaking balcony or rooftop$4,000$12,000

What affects the price

Area & detail work. Corners, hobs, penetrations and drainage points take more time than open floor area.
New versus remedial. Fixing a leak means removing tiles and screed first — often the bulk of the cost.
Internal versus external. Balconies and rooftops need UV-stable membranes and more weather-dependent workmanship.
Membrane system. Standard acrylic membranes are cheapest; polyurethane and sheet systems cost more but last longer.
Substrate condition. Cracked screeds and movement-prone substrates need repair before any membrane goes down.

Tips before you post

Use a licenced waterproofer and get the compliance certificate — it's required and protects your warranty.
Never let a tiler rush the membrane cure time; most systems need days, not hours, before tiling.
On leaking showers, ask about the source first — sometimes it's a sealant or grout fix, not a full strip-out.
