Real-world examples

Mini skip (2–3 m³)$180$380
6 m³ skip or single truck load$380$750
Large skip or multiple loads$700$1,400

What affects the price

Bin size / volume. Price scales with cubic metres, though bigger bins cost less per m³.
Waste type. Soil, concrete and bricks cost more to tip; mattresses, tyres and e-waste carry per-item fees.
Load-yourself versus loaded. Skips are cheaper; truck crews who load for you charge for the labour.
Hire duration. Standard hire is 4–7 days; keeping the bin longer adds daily fees.
Placement & permits. Putting a skip on the street or nature strip usually needs a council permit.

Tips before you post

Don't overfill — skips loaded above the rim can be refused or attract an extra charge at pickup.
Keep heavy waste (soil, concrete) separate; mixed heavy loads are charged at the dearest rate.
Asbestos can never go in a general skip — it needs a licensed asbestos bin and disposal.
