What affects the price

Length & height. Price scales with metres, and screens over 1.8 m need heavier posts and footings.
Material. Treated pine slats are cheapest; hardwood, aluminium battens and laser-cut panels step up from there.
Footings & fixing. Freestanding screens on new concrete footings cost more than panels fixed to an existing structure.
Site access & ground. Sloping ground, rock and tight access all add digging and labour time.
Finish. Powder coating, staining or oiling adds cost but extends the life of the screen.

Tips before you post

Check your council's rules — screens above fence height on a boundary can need approval or neighbour consent.
Aluminium slats cost more than timber up front but never need oiling or replacing warped boards.
Leaving small gaps between slats keeps airflow and light while still blocking sightlines.
