Garden makeover$1,500$5,500
Full yard landscaping$10,000$26,000
Complete redesign$35,000$90,000

What affects the price

Soft vs hard landscaping. Plants, turf and mulch are cheap per m²; paving, walls and structures cost several times more.
Site slope & access. Sloping blocks need retaining and machinery; tight access forces slow hand work.
Plant maturity. Advanced trees and established plants cost many times more than tubestock that takes years to fill in.
Drainage & earthworks. Excavation, soil removal and drainage solutions can be a large hidden line item.
Irrigation & lighting. Automated watering and garden lighting add comfort but also trenching and installation cost.

Tips before you post

Stage the work if the budget is tight — do earthworks, drainage and hardscaping first, and add plants over time.
Retaining walls above around a metre usually need engineering and council approval; check before quoting starts.
Ask whether green waste and soil removal are included — tip fees add up fast on big digs.
