Full house demolition$15,000$35,000

What affects the price

Size & construction. Brick and double-storey structures take more machine time than timber and fibro.
Asbestos. Licensed asbestos removal and regulated disposal can add thousands on pre-1990 buildings.
Site access. Tight blocks that can't fit an excavator force slower, more expensive hand demolition.
Waste volume & tip fees. Disposal charges scale with tonnage, and mixed waste costs more than sorted material.
Permits & disconnections. Council demolition permits and power, gas and water disconnections add fixed costs.

Tips before you post

Get an asbestos inspection before quoting — surprises mid-demolition are the main cause of blowouts.
Asbestos removal over 10 m² must be done by a licensed removalist — never a DIY job.
Confirm the quote includes waste disposal, permits and a clear, level site at handover.
