What affects the price

Board quality & type. Strand-woven boards cost more than horizontal/vertical bamboo but are far harder-wearing.
Floor area. The core driver — larger areas cost more in total but often attract a better per-m² rate.
Subfloor condition. Levelling compound, moisture barriers or repairs to the existing floor add cost before installation.
Old floor removal. Ripping up and disposing of carpet, tiles or old timber adds $10–$30 per m².
Trims & details. Stair nosings, scotia, door bars and lots of small rooms slow the lay and add material.

Tips before you post

Choose strand-woven bamboo for living areas and hallways — it's roughly twice as hard as most hardwoods.
Let the boards acclimatise on site for a few days before laying, as bamboo moves with humidity.
Ask whether the quote includes underlay, trims and old floor removal — that's where quotes differ most.
