What affects the price

Connection type. Plug-in swaps are cheapest; hardwired electrical and gas connections need licenced trades and cost more.
New points or circuits. Running a new power circuit, water line or gas point can double the price of the job.
Number of appliances. Installing several appliances in one visit is cheaper per item than separate call-outs.
Removal and disposal. Taking away the old appliance usually adds $30–$80 per item.
Access and cabinetry. Tight integrated cabinetry or trimming benchtops to fit adds labour time.

Tips before you post

Gas appliances must be installed by a licenced gasfitter who issues a compliance certificate — keep it for insurance.
Check the new appliance's dimensions and connection positions against your cavity before booking the install.
Bundle several installs into one visit to save on call-out fees.
