Bark fees

What a Bark bill is actually made of

Before comparing anything, it helps to know the shape of the cost. These are the parts that make up what a tradie pays Bark.

1
Credit packs bought up front

You buy credits in bundles. The per-credit rate typically drops the bigger the pack, which means the cheapest rate requires the biggest up-front outlay.

2
Credits spent per lead contacted

Different leads cost different numbers of credits depending on the job type and value, so the same pack goes further in some trades than others.

3
Spent whether or not you win

Credits are consumed when you respond to the lead, not when you win the job. An unresponsive customer costs the same as a signed contract.

4
Leads sold to several pros

The same enquiry can be sold to multiple businesses, so your credits buy a place in a queue rather than an exclusive introduction.

Why we don't quote you a number

Bark's credit rates vary by pack size and job category and aren't a single published number, so we don't quote one. The figure to work out for yourself is your cost per won job — credits spent divided by jobs actually landed — which is usually a very different number from the headline credit price.

Where Bark is the better pick

Bark covers a huge spread of service categories well beyond trades, and there's no monthly commitment. If you want to dip in occasionally without a subscription running in the background, pay-as-you-go credits suit that better than a flat fee.

Why tradies switch

Predictable cost. Real jobs.

No credits to buy

Bark runs on credits you buy up front and burn on each lead. QuickQuote is a flat AU$49 a month — no credit packs, no topping up.

You're not one of a crowd

The same Bark lead can be sold to a stack of pros. On QuickQuote only three tradies can quote a job — so a lead is worth quoting.

Never pay for a dead lead

Spend credits on Bark and the job can still go cold. With a flat fee, a lead that goes nowhere costs you nothing extra.

Month to month, no contract. Bark credits, once bought, don't come back — a flat monthly fee is simpler and predictable.

Common questions

Bark vs QuickQuote, answered

How much do Bark credits cost?

Bark prices credits in packs, with the per-credit rate depending on pack size, and different leads costing different numbers of credits — so there's no single figure. QuickQuote has no credits at all: it's one flat AU$49 a month.

Do I have to buy credits like on Bark?

No. QuickQuote has no credits and no per-lead charges — you pay one flat AU$49 a month and quote on as many local jobs as you like.

What happens to credits I don't use?

That's worth asking Bark directly, because unused and expired credits are the part that catches people out. On QuickQuote there's nothing to use up — you're not buying units of anything.

How many tradies quote the same job?

Only three. Unlike platforms that sell the same lead to many pros, a QuickQuote job is capped at three quotes.

Are there other fees?

Start free with three quotes a month, or go Pro at a flat AU$49 a month for unlimited quotes. The only extra is a payment fee if you choose to take payment through the app — 2% on Pro, 5% on Free — plus half the card processing fee, with the homeowner covering the other half.
